Roma Asrani (born August 25, 1984) is an Indian model-turned-actress who works mainly in Malayalam-language films.Roma Asrani was born into a Hindu Sindhi family from Delhi, who later settled in Chennai. Her father Muralidhar and mother Madhu run a wholesale jewellery shop in Chennai.Roma has done modelling for many prestigious companies including Seematti,Sunny Jacob Jewellers,Triveni Notebooks,Kalyan Sarees,Kamilari.Roma made her debut as an actress in the Telugu movie "Mr.Errababu"in 2005.Further, she reappeared in the industry after a break in the movie "Chalaki"in 2010.Roma made her debut in the Tamil movie industry through the movie Kathale En Kathale.She made her entry into Malayalam films with the movie Notebook, directed by Rosshan Andrrews and became very popular after the success of the film. For her performance in Notebook she was adjudged best newcomer by Kerala Film Critics Association, Asianet, Amrita TV and Kalakeralam. Her second film July 4 (2007),directed by Joshiy however, was a flop. Her movie Chocolate (2007) with Prithviraj was a big hit, and this movie was a turning point in her career. She has also acted in a music album by the band Team Malayalee with popular singer Vineeth Sreenivasan and actor Prithviraj for the number Minnal Azhake which was a big hit in south India.Roma made her debut in Kannada through the movie "Aramane".
